I've been working on several new photo encaustic pieces and have another beach sunrise scene ready to go. In this post, I'll share several of my new and recent pieces. The response to this new work has been encouraging.

Radnor Blue, 6" x 6" Archival print, wax, acrylic (sold)

"Lotus Diptych" 12" x 6" archival print, wax, oil pigment (sold)

My exhibit will remain up at the Marnie Sheridan Gallery until April 15, so if you haven't made it yet, there's still time. Scroll down to the previous post below to see the details.

I decided to enter a few of my new photo encaustic pieces into the CSAE National juried competition this year. Since this work is so new and different for me, its like starting again, but in a good way. Two of the pieces I entered were smaller than their minimum requirement, but "Beachrise" at 12" x 12" was large enough, and I'm pleased to say it was accepted. Here's the piece:

"Beachrise" 12" x 12", archival print, oil, encaustic

The reception will be held on May 16 at the Tennessee Art League, 808 Broadway in Nashville, 2 - 4 p.m. and the exhibit will hang until June 25.

I am currently working on several more encaustic peieces, which are a bit larger, and will post them in the next few weeks.
